How We Create Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete requires skill and timing to get right. We start with all the same foundation steps as regular concrete: proper grading, solid base, and quality reinforcement. The difference comes after the pour. While the concrete is still workable, we add color hardener to the surface, then press pattern stamps into the concrete to create the texture. This has to be done at exactly the right time, when the concrete is firm enough to hold the pattern but soft enough to accept it. Finally, we apply a release agent and sealant to protect the finish and enhance the colors. The result is a surface that looks like expensive stone or pavers but performs like high-quality concrete.
